Dr. Bill Daggett

Dr. Bill Daggett is the founder of both the Successful Practices Network and the International Center for Leadership in Education. He is recognized worldwide for his proven ability to move preK-12 education systems towards more rigorous and relevant skills and knowledge for all students. For 30 years, he has crisscrossed our nation, as well as the industrialized world, to lead school reform efforts to effectively prepare students for their future. While an avid supporter of public education, he also challenges all of us to be more focused on our children’s future than on maintaining the schools of our youth. His insights and leadership have caused nearly every major education association in the country, hundreds of school districts, numerous political and business leaders, publishers, and others to seek out his advice and guidance.

Dr. Robert Peters

Dr. Robert Peters is the Vice President and Chief Academic Officer at Successful Practices Network and the Nation Dropout Prevention Center. He currently works with school systems to strategically plan comprehensive solutions that empower academic success. Robert strongly believes in the power of relationships and has effectively worked with educators across the United States in rural, suburban and some of the largest urban districts including Miami-Dade County and Atlanta Public Schools.

Ray McNulty
President

National Dropout Prevention Center 

Raymond J. McNulty is the President of the National Dropout Prevention Center (NDPC), and the Successful Practices Network SPN). He is also a Senior Fellow to the International Center for Leadership in Education. Prior to that, Ray was Dean for the School of Education at Southern New Hampshire University which Fast Company magazine named the 12th most innovative organization in the world in its World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies in the world. Ray has served as Chair of the National Dropout Prevention Network and was the Chief Learning Officer for Penn Foster a global leader in online education. Ray also was a senior fellow at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he worked with leading educators on improving our nation’s high schools. Ray is a past president of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and author of It’s Not Us Against Them — Creating the Schools We Need, published in 2009 by the International Center.

Dr. Daniel Domenech

Daniel A. Domenech served as executive director of the AASA, The School Superintendents Association from July 2008 to February 2023. Domenech has more than 55 years of experience in public education, twenty-seven of those years served as a school superintendent. Prior to joining AASA, Domenech served as senior vice president for National Urban Markets with McGraw-Hill Education. In this role, he was responsible for building strong relationships with large school districts nationwide.

Dr. Susan Szachowicz

Dr. Sue Szachowicz served as Principal of Brockton High School, a comprehensive urban high school of 4,300 students in Brockton Massachusetts and is Brockton High's greatest cheerleader. A graduate of Brockton High herself, she served as a history teacher, department chair, Dean, Associate Principal, and for ten years as Principal. In that capacity she led the school's literacy initiative and transformed the school culture resulting in numerous national and state awards for Brockton High. She returned from retirement to serve the school district as a Deputy Superintendent and implemented the three Focus Areas of Effective Instruction, Active Reading and Writing, and Positive Relationships. Currently Sue is a Senior Fellow with the Successful Practices Network and works with school and district leadership around the country on leadership, literacy, and transforming school culture. She is the author of Transforming Brockton High School: High Standards, High Expectations, No Excuses.

John Gailer
Director of Professional Services
National Dropout Prevention Center

Mr. Gailer is the Director of Professional Services for the National Dropout Prevention Center. He earned his Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Georgia and has more than 25 years of experience in the field of youth development in the contexts of youth at risk and third-culture kids. John has conducted leadership and team building workshops throughout the country at the local, regional, and national levels. He has served as a consultant in areas of program, intervention, and collaboration design. He has over 15 years of experience in higher education leadership, classroom instruction, and nonprofit administration. In his current role with NDPC, John designs professional learning experiences that impact educators and youth practitioners nationwide.

Felicia Turner
Director of Implementation

Felicia Turner specializes in working with leaders and teachers to find innovative and sustainable ways to improve teaching, learning, and instructional practices. She has been serving urban youth as both a teacher and a leader since 1999. Felicia has presented at numerous local, regional, and international conferences. Audiences enjoy her humor and wit as she pushes boundaries and inspires teaching and learning to elevate to new heights. Prior to her time at the Successful Practices Network, she began her journey in education teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) students. Her passion for educating and equipping other educators propelled her into the following roles: Writing Coordinator, English Language Arts Instructional Coach, PK - 12 School Administrator, Grant Writer, District –wide Literacy Coordinator, and District-wide Professional Development Coordinator, and an Executive Coach. Ms. Turner also brings with her extensive experience in higher education where she has served as a director of an alternative teacher certification program, coordinator of a summer youth program collaboration with the YMCA, and an adjunct professor. Ms. Turner’s accomplishments include co-authoring a writing curriculum, called “Paper, Pencils, Let’s Write!”

Linda Jordan
Senior Learning Consultant

Linda has been a keynote presenter at conferences around the globe with topics based in neuroscience, effective instruction, curriculum, CTE and leadership. Linda's background of training and experience prepare her to provide valuable information and advice on a variety of aspects of school improvement, neuroscience and trauma. She holds Ed.D., MA and BA degrees in education. Linda’s doctorate focused on neuroscience and how people learn. Linda has served as a teacher of preschool through college and has administrative experience. She has extended her participation beyond the classroom level as a member of school and district groups that include leadership council, school improvement team, child study team, and the district vision planning team, she also serves as a school board member. Dr. Jordan served as curriculum coordinator for the proposed National Plus School project in Jakarta, Indonesia. Dr. Jordan received the National Points of Light Foundation Award for Service Learning. Linda is a contributor to Service-Learning Flagship newsletter, AASA article, Brain-Compatible Instruction for Young Learners in a Remote World and contributing author to Finding Our Way: Reforming Teacher Education in the Liberal Arts Setting and author of Exceeding Expectations II.
