The integration of AI has been a game changer in many districts across the country. In this presentation, SPN will lay out how the nation’s most rapidly improving schools are using Artificial Intelligence in the classroom to create a Future Focused instructional culture for ALL students.  Progressive Educators are making the necessary fundamental shifts in Artificial Intelligence and having open dialogue on how instruction is organized and effectively delivered in the classroom. This session will provide a step-by-step process of practical strategies that incorporate AI that subsequently provides teachers additional time to focus on future focused learning opportunities with students.  Participants will:

• Engaged in a hands-on experience that provide collaborative opportunities to explore the multiple Artificial Intelligence applications and best practices.
• Discuss the power of questioning and the development of prompts as it relates to creating future focused lessons.
• Participate in interactive group sessions that provide experimental opportunities to engage in Chat GPT, Bard and other AI applications.
• Create a future focused AI plan that improves teaching and learning at the campus level.

In today’s rapidly changing world, the intersection of literacy, mathematics, critical thinking, and artificial intelligence is critical in preparing our students for success in the 21^st century.  This interactive training aims at providing teachers with insight on how artificial intelligence can enhance students understanding of literacy, mathematics and critical thinking and promote higher level application and synthesis.  Participants will integrate AI into the Successful Practices Network’s Future Focus Rubrics to create transformational lessons that challenge children with ALL cognitive levels of thinking. 

• Literacy and AI- Participants will use AI powered tools to assist students in improving their writing as well as analyze text structures at all levels. Teachers will design a lesson using the Future Focused Success Rubrics.
• Mathematics and AI- Educators will experience how AI develops data analysis, algorithmic and coding systems for students and create an individualized process that fosters problem solving for their classroom.
• Critical Thinking and AI- Educators will participate in groups to discuss future focused lessons that engage students in the discussions of ethical considerations and decision making in the integration of artificial intelligence.

Future-Focused schools move beyond the development of traditional academic skills by providing ALL students with the opportunities to develop three distinct skill sets: Cognitive, Interpersonal and Leadership development. SPN aims to empower educators to design and implement future focused lessons for children by effectively integrating artificial intelligence into their teaching strategies. By the end of the session, educators will be well- equipped in using artificial intelligence to create high level lessons using the Future Focused Success Rubrics (Cognitive, Interpersonal and Leadership Development).   Subsequently, ensuring that children are prepared for the challenges and opportunities presented by an AI-driven world.

• Analyze the Future Focused Success Rubrics and participate in breakout groups that design Future Focused Classroom lessons.
• Experiment with the multiple forms of AI and high-level lesson design.
• Participate in scenarios that provide open dialogue opportunities around the ethical considerations of artificial intelligence integration.
• Engage in the development of a future lesson using artificial intelligence with an SPN AI Coach.
