[Ballston Spa, New York] - Dedicated to empowering schools and districts nationwide through the latest insights, resources and expert-driven strategies, the Successful Practices Network (SPN) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Daniel A. Domenech as its newest Senior Fellow. With a comprehensive career spanning over 55 years in public education, Dr. Domenech's depth of leadership experience will further enrich SPN's mission of shaping the future of education through success by design.

Dr. Domenech recently concluded his tenure as the executive director of AASA, The School Superintendents Association, where he passionately served from July 2008 to February 2023. His journey in public education began as a sixth-grade teacher in Queens, New York. Over the years, he held pivotal roles, including being the superintendent of Fairfax County Public Schools, one of the nation's largest school systems, and leadership positions in Long Island's school districts.

A champion for education, Dr. Domenech served as the president of AASA, the New York State Council of School Superintendents, the Suffolk County Superintendents Association, and as the first president and co-founder of the New York State Association for Bilingual Education. Beyond his roles in educational leadership, he has been an integral part of numerous national boards and advisory committees, advocating for quality and inclusive education across the U.S.

"We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Domenech to the SPN family. His broad experience and notable accomplishments in different areas of education align perfectly with our mission," remarked Dr. Bill Daggett, Founder of SPN and the Center for Model Schools (Previously known as ICLE).

Since its inception in 2003 by Dr. Daggett, SPN, under the collaborative leadership of Ray McNulty, President, and Dr. Robert Peters, Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer, has emerged as a beacon of support for K12 districts. Upholding a steadfast commitment to student success and offering a diverse array of services and resources grounded in the latest educational insights, SPN has made a lasting mark on the K12 educational landscape. The inclusion of Dr. Domenech further reinforces SPN's dedication to its mission and unwavering support for its members.

Dr. Domenech expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am excited to have the opportunity to continue to support school districts and their leaders as they strive to provide their students with the quality education they are entitled to.”
